The size of Cr2 steel changes little during heat treatment quenching and tempering. Due to these characteristics, Cr2 steel is widely used in measuring tools such as template, plate, sample sleeve, gauge, block gauge, ring gauge, thread plug gauge and sample column, etc., and can also be used in the manufacture of cold drawing die and cold heading die. Cr2 steel can also be used for cutting less hard materials with low-speed tools. In addition, Cr2 steel can also be used for cold rolls and other workpieces.
