Packing And Shipping
1. Packaging Materials Preparation
Based on the type, specifications, and shipping method of the steel, prepare appropriate packaging materials, such as plastic film, moisture-proof bags, foam boards, wooden pallets, steel straps, etc. For bulk steel, specialized pallets, containers, or custom packaging may be used.
2. Steel Packaging
Protective Packaging: Wrap the steel in plastic film or moisture-proof bags to prevent moisture and dust.
Surface Protection: Apply rust-proof oil to the steel surface, especially for steel that will be transported or stored for a long period.
Securing Steel: Use steel straps, stretch film, etc., to secure the steel onto pallets or wooden crates to prevent shifting or damage during transportation.
Labeling: Clearly mark each package with relevant information such as product specifications, quantities, number of bundles, furnace numbers, weight, etc.
3. Pre-Shipment Inspection
Packaging Integrity Check: Ensure that the packaging is sturdy, undamaged, and meets transportation requirements.
Weight Confirmation: Verify that the weight of each package matches the shipping list.
Transport Preparation: Determine the appropriate transportation method (such as road, rail, or sea transport) and transport company, and arrange for shipment.
4. Transportation Arrangement
Choosing Transport Mode: Select the most suitable transport method based on destination, delivery time, and transportation cost.
Transport Vehicle Preparation: Prepare the appropriate transport vehicles based on packaging method, quantity, and size of the steel to ensure safe transport.
Loading: Ensure the steel is correctly loaded to prevent damage during transit.
5. Shipping and Tracking
Shipment Documentation: Prepare shipping documents, including the shipping order, transportation documents, packing list, etc., to ensure tracking and delivery of each batch of goods.
Transportation Monitoring: Regularly track the status of goods during transport to ensure timely delivery and address any potential issues.
Delivery Confirmation: Upon arrival at the destination, ensure that the customer confirms receipt and signs for the goods.
6. After-Sales Service
Follow-up: After the customer receives the steel, follow up to confirm that the product meets quality requirements.
Issue Resolution: If there are any damages or quality issues, promptly address them and provide compensation or replacement.
